Real Estate Agent 0488515

Any agent in Texas who handles rental properties might wish to check with their broker to insure a privacy policy is in place.

The last sentence of the TAR 2003 "Residential Lease Application and Authorization To Release Information Related To A Residential Lease states:

"Any broker gathering information about an applicant acts under specific instructions to verify some or all of the information described in this authorization.  The broker maintains a privacy policy which s available upon request"

Everything is confidential these days but we get permission from seller for anything we are going tomaine birds hungry broadcast and tell the world about. Our real estate buyers are hungry, want all the details, facts, images, videos and for nothing to be held back in the marketing.

We sure do! On many occasions have had to enforce it! Good reminder for people.

I do! I do!  And I don't even handle rentals.  I put one in place because sometimes clients give us proof of funds letters and pre-qualification letters.  It's in a stand in my office and we have clients sign a form that they have been given a copy no later than when they are making an offer.  I don't make people sign one just to get information about a property or see homes.

One of the best things I ever did was make it part of our policy to send Blind Carbon Copy emails when emailing multiple people in a transaction.. ie attorneys, loan officers, inspectors, clients (the client can give anyone they want to have their email address) but I don't just simply copy people where all the addresses show.  Their email is private and it's not my place to share it.

Hi Richard... I am entirely impressed (but not at all surprised) that you are the one asking this question.  You always play by the rules and I respect that!
