Silver Spring, Maryland is centrally located in the Washington D.C. area with easy access to downtown DC , 495 to Virginia, or 95 to Baltimore. Downtown Silver Spring, where my office is located had had a total growth of development in the recent years with outdoor mall offering plenty of stores anchored by retailers like Borders Books, Whole Foods, and Majestic Theatre. Silver Spring properties offer urban condos/lofts, charming cape cods, large colonials, modern lofts, split levels, and more. Any type of home you are looking for can be found in the areas that make up Silver Spring. There truly is something for everyone lifestyle from city or to being further out with more land.

Interesting Facts:
- Silver Spring is the third most populous place in Maryland- after Baltimore and Columbia
- Silver Spring takes its name from a mica-flecked spring discovered there in 1840 by Francis Preston Blair, who subsequently bought much of the surrounding land. Acorn Park, tucked away in an area of south Silver Spring away from the main downtown area, is believed to be the site of the original spring.
