I had an old flag that had flown in front of my house for years. Once it became tattered I wasn't sure how to dispose of it. Some people said to burn it. Not wanting anyone to misinterpret my actions, I kept it in my garage for about 7 years before I noticed the drop box on my way home from work one night.
