One week from Saturday I am up, up and awaying to Orlando to attend the RE/MAX Convention!!  Two of my best friends from the office are also attending, along with one of my brokers and we are beyond excited.  I've never attended a RE/MAX Convention and I am really looking forward to going.  There are going to be great things happening in Orlando and I am so excited to be part of it.  Billed as an odd couple, Mary Matalin and James Carville are set to speak at the opening session!  Should be an interesting conversation!  There will be 4 full days of educational sessions, a market place, fundraisers and a host of other fun activities!  

The convention will end with a networking party.  The entertainment is the BEACH BOYS!!  

The girls and I are meeting at the office tomorrow to discuss the classes we may want to take there.  We also all did a day of service and received a free pass to one of the Disney Theme Parks!  

So, today, 2/18/10, I am thankful that I have the opportunity to go to this exciting event.  I am thankful to my dear Momma, who is coming out to stay with Jack, Max and JJ to keep the ship running on schedule.  I am thankful to my friend and neighbor Nora, who will walk my little darling a few times while I am gone.  I am thankful that some of our friends in the office have agreed to cover all of our outstanding business while we are away.  I am thankful that I am getting the listing that I interviewed for last week and for all of the buyers I am currently showing homes to!   I am thankful for the great listings I currently have, all of which I expect to sell soon!  Oh, and I am very thankful for the new lambswool Kualaburra boots with this really cool fringe that are keeping my feet toasty!  I got them on clearance, always the best part and paid a fraction of what they sell for online!  It's the little things in life that make us the most happy.

Sounds like something very fun and you deserve a good business trip that will also be fun. I like Mary Matalin and James Carville and they are proof that even if you work on opposite sides of a political spectrum you can still make a marriage work. I also think it's very cool to get a Disney pass by doing service work! And you are fortunate to have help in holding down the fort while you are on your trip. Great stuff all around!

Susan - It will be a fun time.  I attended a C21 conference a few years back when I was affiliated and it sounds like much of the same type of agenda.  I will always remember the fun we had and it is one of my fondest memories of my old firm. I know you will enjoy it.
