Need Design Ideas

I have been asked by a client to re-decorate a bathroom.  It is a very small guest bathrooms and I already have several ideas...However, the baseboards and the door are both "honey oak" in color and matche the doors and baseboards in the rest of the house.  Painting the baseboards and door in the bathroom will be easy but if I paint both sides of the door it will stand out from the rest of the house.

why not paint the walls a chocolate brown that would accent and complement the honey oak?

Stacy,

Is it necessary to paint both sides of the door?  Is it necessary to paint the door at all?  Isn't there a way of utilizing the beauty of the woodwork and expanding on that?  I have a friend that has a bathroom that is done in wood similar to what you would find in a cabin and it looks aswesome.

I say leave the door the way it is, unless it is severe.  If you need to paint.  I have seen several doors with just the inside painted.  Good Luck!

Question?  The client wants the baseboards painted...  Would it be o.k. to leave the door as is and have the baseboards white?

Marcus,

The honey oak is Ugly... so leaving it is not an option.
