A month of milestones here at AR and your introducton to JFIVE Homes Realty LLC
It has been a little over three years since I first embarked on my journey into the blogging world and I have thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
I remember the very early days when I was nervous about writing my first post, and when I received my first comment I didn't even respond because I did not know how.
Just a few days ago, I noticed that I had accumulated over 500,000 points which indicated that I have been a consistent contributor to this network. Of course, I so appreciated those who sent me direct messages about this milestone.
Well that's enough about me. I want to take the opportunity to tell agents sitting on the fence that getting engaged with this community will be a beneficial investment in their business. Here are a few of the benefits you will find:
- Helpful information on just about any real estate related topic.
- Access to a professional support network.
- The ability to increase your referral base.
- The right spot to learn about other parts of the country through photography.
- A place to find an instant social connection with fellow agents whom you have not yet met in person.
- A place where you can express your opinion and learn and respect the opnions of others.
- Opportunites to meet your on-line friends off-line in the form of Rain-Camps.
- A way to maintain an on-line presence, because that's how we will connect with today's consumers.
- Awesome training in using new technologies to reach potential clients.
These are but a few of the benefits I have found here. What foresight was shown on the part of the AR management team and we appreciate everything you do.
Thanks to the members of the network. Your friendship and willingness to share your knowledge has not gone unnoticed. I decided not to use names because I hate to leave out anyone by mistake.
Now, let me take this opportunity to introduce you to JFIVE HOMES REALTY LLC. Yes, a couple of weeks ago, I started my own brokerage and, for those who know me, this was done with much thought and planning.
I recent read a post by Jim Crawford where he spoke about the importance of branding, and having the right logo was key to getting my company off the ground. So when you think of JFIVE HOMES REALTY this is what I hope will come to mind.
If you have followed my blog over the years you know I love talking about the things which make the Hudson Valley region of NY so special, the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson River. Thus, I included them in my logo. Also, since helping consumers buy and sell real estate is my business so I thought incorporating a house in the design would be a good idea.
But what's up with the JFIVE? Well, I had branded myself that way for years so it made sense and one of my websites was already named JFIVE homes. That still does not explain the JFIVE. My first name as well as well as the names of my 2 children, both of whom or licensed agents, begins with the letter J. My last name was always misspelled so the decision was made to shorten it to its first four letters.
The logo was a family project my husband, my son and I bounced around the concept and since I can't draw a straight line my husband did the rough drawing and my daughter came up with the final product. As a family we have to come up with a consensus before a project moves forward, so there was a bit of a time lag because we could not find a J that was pleasing to my husband. I finally came up with the idea of contacting Marti Garaughty, a wonderful Graphic designer here on AR, to have him finish the logo but other than suggesting that I should remove the shadowing he thought it was a lovely design. So, thanks Marti for breaking the impasse - yet another benefit from being a member of AR.
Next, we worked on a Tagline. My son came up with some rather funny ones, but with his help here is the final version.
JFIVE Where home buyers and sellers thrive
My hope is that same time next year I can report back that like home buyers and seller who visit JFIVE, that my company will be thriving. So celebrate my milestones with me.
