2010 - The Year of Great Expectations

By
Real Estate Agent with Wheeler Realty

I don't know about you, but 2009 was a year of revelation for me. I had to review my business plan, over and over again and as one would say, "tweek" it quite often. I had to review my listings and for those clients that could not understand the market, release them. A listing does me no good if it can't be sold. Listings take time, money and energy.

I also decided during this time, I would research, read and learn how to take my business to the next level. I learned a deeper understanding of social networking, and the various medias that can be used. I found a great networking group that is challenging my mind.

Mentors are a great resource and I am looking forward to all the great ideas that I am reading. So, I encourage all those that feel down about real estate, rejuvenate your mind with fresh ideas. I know it is really working for me. My mind is exploding with ideas.

2010, the year of great expectations!

Janelle your business plan should be reviewed often any way and tweeked as needed.  Things change.  You may change directions, goals, etc so the plan has to be modified accordingly.

I agree also that holding on to listings forever and a day does not contribute to your credibility.  At expiration time, more often than not, I usually don't renew unless the seller insists that they still just want me to relist it.

I'm feeling 2010 also as a defining year.  I wish you well and much success.

I just ran across your blog and I would not agree with you more.  I recently did the same by tweeking my business plan, plugging into social networking and reorganizing my business pipeline.  I have not plugged into a mentor yet but I am open to that so please share any information you have.  Thanks again for a post!
