If things are a little difficult lately, you may find encouragement in the book of ACTS.  One particular reading tells of Paul being arrested and boarded on a ship to be sent to Caesar for trial.

A storm with hurricane force winds came up, the sailors could not control the ship so they just let the wind blow it where it wanted to.  The storm raged on and on and on, they didn't see the sun or the stars for several days. They tried reinforcing the ship with ropes to keep it together and threw their cargo and tackle overboard.  Fourteen days of this, too scared to eat.

Paul took some food and encouraged the rest of the men to do the same.  There were 276 of them on board and the Lord had revealed to him via an angel that they would all make it.  After they ate, they threw the rest of their grain overboard! Now that's faith in what Paul was telling them.

Talk about  an example of many people being benefited by one.  Because Paul was on board that ship, they were all going to be saved and he was on board only because he had been arrested!

The ship made it to an island before it was torn apart but the sailors survived.

God turns what was meant for bad into good.  Even what someone meant to be a difficulty for us, He turns into a benefit - in this case not only a benefit for His child,  but also a benefit for those that were working against His child.

If you are going through a difficult time, be encouraged today.  When you are His, He knows right where you are, it is no surprise to Him.  He knew it was coming even when you had no idea about it.  He knows where His children are and He has a plan for His children. Talk to Him about it.

I don't read my bible like I should, but I believe that God has all of the answers to life in this wonderful letter to us. Romans 8 is very uplifting too!

Judi, what a powerful lesson to read about.  Paul certainly kept the faith, and as you said, God does know where his children are, and what we are going through, boy do I know about that.  I love your post, and thank you for sharing this with us.  More please?
