Pointlessly Knocking on the Gold "Club" Door

It is with great sadness in my heart that I report that my yesterday's Pointless entry saying good bye to the Silver Group as I approached 200K now has 79 points ... Yes they start out pointless but really getting points on ActiveRain is like falling off a log.

group is that you can not keep a post pointless.  I believe I posted some there to Group Only as Maggie Dokic has tried on her "Knock Knock" entry... but if people rate the post or maybe now it is even just commenting that gets you points... no matter how pointless you strive for .. you get points. 

Thanks Irina.  Good invitees got me the gold.  Not that I could ever predict who will be good, who will be gooder, who will be the goodest (breaking all grammar rules)  so I just invite them all.  A couple of my snagees have been very good point generators and getting to know them just a little bit is probably some of the most fun I have had on Active Rain.

Did you see Kathy Clulow's Join ActiveRain image in my sidebar? I found it in a comment on Cheryl Johnson's blog...  I am hoping for some happy snagging.  I have had a dry spell in inviting.

It kinda feels like someone is on my tail.

I am trying to figure out how I add one person as a friend on Twitter. I see how to add all my followers but not an individual.  As I only have two followers and I recognize you I could probably add both as friends but a pop up gave me a scary message about do you really want to add all as friends.  I am sure I know my  other "follower"  from here ... I don't believe his name is Freddie Krueger or that he has an Elm Street address....

Is there Point Nirvana?  I am hoping points will disappear long before that.  I hope AR evolves away from points unless of course they start points for shoes.  Rudy and I discussed that when BlogTour USA was in Columbus (home of DSW shoes...) Rudy has another shoe store he wants to shoetize ActiveRain, an online shoe company.  

Karen: I must be a pretty crappy blogger then to only have 60476 points from all those entries huh?  And only 20 some featured entries too? That's a looooooooooooooooooow % for the number of entries.   Lots of ActiveRainers with a lot better %, lots more points from blogging than me. I have posted a bunch to group only.  

There are ways to not get points for blogging.   Rudy Bachraty and I were talking last week about donatiing points.   Yet he was worried that I was not getting points for his posts because his profile page does not have my mug on it.

John:  Shhhhh I think you are protected there. 

Scott: I saw Randy coming up quick but got so busy with the BlogTour USA preparations in the last few weeks and work that I did not know we were neck and neck.  Lenn surprised me, not that I did not know she was gaining on me and would pass me but Lenn and Randy were both so classy.  No "nanny, nanny boo boo" as they passed me by.  Professionals!   I would not have expected a "nanny, nanny boo boo" from either.

Thanks Neal! I saw the posts in the 'club'  were mostly Tony.... but I did not realize he'd done a 6 Part Series... but that is exactly what he did... I will have to read them.

I don't know what that is I was thinking a griffin but a griffin has a lions body and an eagles head.  This looks like a head that is kind of lionish?  Gargoyle?

Jeff Turner started ActiveRain when? January? Or last fall? I have been accumulating points since last July or August.  He has more blogging points than me though.  The one I am proud of is the comparison in Invite Points. He is only slightly ahead of me,  I've got 64 invitees that signed up.  He has 457 invitees
