Saturday night in Texas is an important evening. You want to kick up your heels early so that you don’t miss Sunday services, therefore a visit to the Mesquite Rodeo City Music Hall (RCMH) is a safe and sure bet. This local treasure has been serving up a big ol’ platter of music and community events for years. Even the concession stand prices are a throw back to yesteryear. RCMH offers new and emerging talent an opportunity to be on a professional stage and get paid for their efforts. There is always a seasoned group to perform, which was a respite last night from a few too many torch-songs. I was in attendance to see Michael Whitaker and Andy Anderson throw down a set to remember.
Andy is my broker by day and good ol’ boy musician by night. Michael is a Randy Travis lookalike with his own sound and growing fan base. Our real estate lives are so filled with goals and targets, it is great to do something just because its fun. Last night after delivering more intro cards around my farm area and finishing the BPO work I headed down to Mesquite to loosen my tie and put up the dress shoes for a while. I will post some of their music in my next blog series, Best of Big D, when I complete this 90 program.
TALE OF THE TAPE- Day 47 of 90
I just read a brilliant idea in the Sanford book to have Open House Tours. I am so going to implement this here in my area. I have a mortgage broker all lined up to assist in the tour, now I get to work on lining up the houses. I will provide more detail as I move forward with them. Assessing the first half of this program I can say I have learned an incredible amount. I have also been overwhelmed at times with not only this program, but also the new position of Director of Marketing for the agency and being away from my family.
Adaptation and assessment are showing me how to grow what I am reading, learning and experiencing into the shape of a successful career helping people with their needs. I am thrilled to bring unique photographic, video and marketing skills to this task. There is more going on on so many fronts that at times I am dizzy with it, but at the end of every day I can easily say that I have done all I can and that is all that can be asked. So an evening to enjoy Michael Whitaker and Andy Anderson is just what the doctor ordered to put the two step back in my real estate life.
