First-time home buyers -- 10% of the purchase price up to $8,000.  This money does not need to be repaid.

         Requirements to be eligible:

  • Must not have owned a principal residence in the last three years.
  • Make less than $125,000 yearly for a single tax payer or $225,000 for married filing jointly.
  • Home must be less than $800,000.
  • Enter into a contract to buy or build a house on or before April 30th, 2010.
