7 Comments on A Snow day in Austin
Karen,
Glad you posted this picture. We were talking to two dear friends in Austin this morning, and they were saying how hard it was falling, and they were happy they did not have to go anywhere. Thanks.
Hi Karen,
I know what you mean when you say extreme. Here is Elkhart, Indiana, just like Erie, we get all the Lake effect snow. We used to go to Florida for the winter (12 years). Would you believe we missed the Fall and the Winter. What's wrong with us? Since we moved back to Indiana, we don't mind it. What's wrong with us? Enjoy your snow!
Hey, that's an awesome snowman! And this is unusual enough to make us all stop and appreciate it while it's happening.
I've been talking to my wife about moving to Austin from Florida and now I'm not so sure. I went there all the time when I was with IBM but don't remember snow. Is it still the winter cycling capital of the US?
Hi Karen,
That's a cool snowman. I am going to an MCE class in Pflugerville tomorrow, I hope the roads are nice and clear in the AM for us both.
Hi Ron, Alexandra, Tricia, Marcus - It's been so many years since I've built a snowman and this on took on the appearance of a dog so I decided to give it ears. Glad you enjoyed seeing my efforts.
Hi Mike - Naw, it's a rare day to see snow here so come on over to Texas. Two days ago on Sunday it was 71 degrees and I was outside gardening. Tomorrow it will be in the 50s. I lived in Tampa many years ago for a couple years - very nice, but I love Texas!
Hello Karen - It is funny how a little snow (or ice) in our area can bring the city to a standstill. Have a great evening!
