Jo,

When I had my businesses, I spend a lot more than that developing a business plan. That was only the first step too. I could do an essay on this topic.

Jo, It would have been SO nice to know this when going to school for Feng Shui.  One day we graduated....there was no marketing -- at that time absolutely none!

Now the classes are half marketing and half Feng Shui (which I'm not sure is such a good idea either) but I do wish someone had told us what we could do.  It was a long road with many ups and downs figuring out what works....and what doesn't!  And I never thought of my library!

Jo-Anne, I love the many different programs the public libraries put into place.  I used to be able to walk to the library when I lived in NYC and became spoiled.  I don't take the 15 minute drive as often as I should since moving to Miami.  I'll need to go check it out.

Jo,

Some of these seminars are conducted by people very knowledgeable in their fields, and it's a lot less expensive than hiring a professional to provide the same advice.

Carole,

I can sympathize with you completely....it was the same when I took all of my real estate courses...there was no marketing being taught at all. If only there had of been AR back then!

Jo....very good resource. So many entrepreneurs proceed with their dream, yet forget the road map that will assist in getting them to their destination.
