In a recent interview Democratic political strategist and pollster Doug Schoen predicts huge losses by Democrats in November.
- He is predicting as many as 50 Congressional seats could be lost. He is also of the opinion the Senate may fall back under Republican control.
Schoen was an advisor to President Bill Clinton in 1996. He is now a Fox News contributor and anaylist.
Schoen points to Obama's falling popularity numbers and his steadfast push to pass health care reform, which the public has clearly said they do not want.
Obama continues to shoot himself in the foot by failing to deliver a bi-partisan effort on any legistlation.
The Obama bill announced Monday - according to Gibbs - is a starting point and can be added to by Republicans. Oh, I did not hear portions could be deleted as well.
- In other words, this is what you have to accept take it or leave it.
- That's how this President defines bi-partisan effort.

November can't come soon enough!!!
I want ONE bite of the ELEPHANT at a time and I want SPRING to come first!!! and then November!!!
We had 7 GOP candidates to go up against freshman US Congressman in Nov and 1 has fallen out of the race and we are hearing from each of the remaining candidates each Friday on an AM radio show!!!
We need to FOCUS!!! I think the lib FOX commentator is lowering expectations for when they DO LOOSE!!!
The problem lies with all Democrats and Rebulicans. We need new government across the board. I say we do some spring cleaning and find some peole who want to do what they were meant to do, serve the people! Not serve their agendas.
Barbara, I think we will see "Global Warming" in November. Looks like it will be a fairly "hot" month.
Wallace, The harder Obama pushes his health care agenda - the more the people are turning their backs on his entire initiative.
Sally, I believe you are correct. The Progressive movement has infiltrated both parties. Those who ascribe to those ideologies are the ones who have to go.
I see lawmakers in both parties who should experience a career adjustment.
I'm in favor of term limits. Our founding fathers did not draft government service as a life long career.
George Washington was begged to stay on as President. He declined and wanted to move aside and give other ideas and leadership a chance to grow.
I am not from Missouri but the Republicans will have to show me that they learned anything from their 6 years of control with GW. I hope that conservatives (and we are still the majority) vote for candidates that will stick to conservative principles.
As for term limits....we, the people can limit their terms when we wake up!
Bonnie, it will be an interesting midterm elections, and it can't come soon enough.
Calvin, There are good people who are not politicians by profession who should be encouraged to serve. Not just on a national level but a state and local level as well.
We need to re-think how we are represented. Our founding fathers did not envision life time jobs. They designed the system to make service a limited commitment. The later generations - most probably after WWII created the "job" of Senator or Congressmen.
Perhaps going back to our roots might be in order. Encourage talented people from all walks of life to take their turn working in the service of our country. More people would be willing to interrupt their lives like they do with military service, if they were not making a career adjustment.
Tap into minds like Warren Buffet, Meg Whitman and others who have succeeded in various aspects of enterprise. I'm sure there are lots of talented people who would dedicated a term or two and then leave to allow the next fresh crop of ideas to come forward.
Relying on the American public to establish term limits via the ballot box does not work. You can still wind up with another Ted Kennedy or Robert Bryd. Make term limits law. Unlike the Presidency allow someone to return after a break in service.
Yolanda, I think its going to get real interesting after tomorrow. No agreement will come out of that health care meeting. The Dems will ram it through with reconciliation. If the American public is mad now - what do you think will happen in that event? People will take to the streets in protest.
I'm not convinced. I think that there might be a split that hurts the GOP in general, and the most conservative candidates in particular.
November cant come soon enough for me. The more BS the libs try to shove down our throats, the quicker it will get here.
