It's Time to Keep it Simple! - A Staging Hint

The stagers and agents of the world will agree - get rid of the clutter, place some key warmth in your home, and make sure it smells good!    A symbol from ages ago of warmth and happiness is a bowl of apples on a table where all gather.   The home mood needs to be clean and warm.  In other words, keep it simple.

Simple Table Decor

A super simple center of the table decor for the table will be much more attractive than the empty nothingness or salt and pepper that is normally found on a family's table.    If doing the decor for a resale of a home, called staging, it is a good idea to create balance and color throughout the home.  A bowl of fruit will be a warm welcoming signal to the buyer.

The best approach to the staging of a home for resale is to place a call to your local realtor, who will then refer you to several stagers that she/he is familiar with.  The cost is usually fairly reasonable, and the effects magnificent!    I sold three homes immediately after the staging last year - they were not even getting showings before that.   Your realtor will guide you to a stager that will work for your purse and your taste.

And one of the most important thing in Staging  being to try to de-clutter the house about 1/3 before starting to show it.

Simple is best as you say.

I will use real fruit if I am close enough to keep an eye on it; however most of time I use fake stuff that looks very real.   So watch out realtors, check carefully before you take a bite!

Good for you!  I had my sister visiting one day, and she reached into our bowl of beautiful fake pears - some red, - and grabbed a fruit and took a huge real bite!  We almost died -then she showed us she had added a red delicious apple and that was what she had bitten into!   We had to pick my husband up off the floor .....

Thanks for stopping by!

Spot on Dagny and thanks for promoting professional staging.  Almost all of my staged houses have a basket or bowl of fruit in the kitchen or in the dinette.

I personally wish all homes were staged - it would make the sales easier and quicker!  I admire your talents!
