I'm posting this after receiving a few emails and comments wanting to know more about this builder.

Long Story short on this company, based on what I read & what I've talked to them about so far when I met with them:

Wilson Holdings is a publicly traded company who's CEO started Capital Pacific Homes, then sold it. He started Wilson Holding to help small builders be able to compete in larger subdivisions. In their efforts they came across Austin based Green Builders, Inc. A small green building company.

They purchased an option to buy the company. Recently they exercised that option. Due to a non-compete, they have had to wait until July to start building or even have the intent to build, but they've been trying to line up everything so that as soon as the noncompete expired, they'd be ready to roll.

As you can see, here it is in the middle of July & they already have substantial financing. They also already own or have rights to build on 6000 lots in and around the Austin area. They plan on starting with a project in Georgetown then Dripping Springs. The GTown homes will be priced, if I remember right, from $175-$220K. The Dripping Springs project is going to be more luxury, with 1 acre lots and the whole community will be designed with "Green" in mind.

They are planning on building Craftsman style homes, at least the last I talked to them, which will have 2 foot overhangs with exposed rafters, Icynene Insulation, Low E2 Glass in their windows, Energy Efficient Appliances included HVAC. These will be production homes competing with the likes of DR Horton, KB Homes, Pulte, David Weekley and others you may be familiar with.

The last time I spoke to them, they have an aggressive goal of 1500 home starts before the end of the year.

Right now they are still somewhat quiet and not advertising, but I imagine that'll change soon enough!

Here are the links to their sites for more information:

I'm really excited about it. I've been trying to get the listings, but they seem to already have their agents.

Sorry no pics, just threw this together real quick

Oh, yeah, I forgot. I'll look through my stuff and find one. I had one before, but I don't know if he'll do Houston. I'll let you know.
