What a wonderful project. I can't even imagine how much joy it will bring to those who are lucky enough to get there.

My daughter and her family will be visiting San Antonio this summer......they don't have special needs (unless you count an 2 1/2 year old), but I bet they would enjoy this new park!

This is heartwarming to see something like this in San Antonio with the support of so many for children with special needs.

Kristin, Thanks for posting about this.  I have been keeping my eye on it.  It's really wonderful what Gordon Hartman is doing for people with special needs, especially kids.

I saw this on our news channel and couldn't believe someone would do this for our special children.

I am a grandmother of a 19 yr old and when taking her to amusement parks to things she can go on and have someone who does not understand that she is non-verbal and severe and profund even that we explained this before getting on.  Disney World is one for an example.  They tell you on the phone just bring medical papers(which we did) they never looked at them just wanted us to rent a wheelchair so she could go thru the exits and get on with our whole family.  This was a joke because all one needed to do was get a wheelchair to do this and entering an exit while everyone was getting off was dangerous for our child.  Thank God there are people like  Mr, Hartman who understands what parents go thru to take their child  to this.  We hope we can drive to San Antonio to be there. Thank you for creating this.
