Many of you know that three of us here at AR teach home inspection for the Washington state college system.Bellingham Technical College has, for several years, had a professional home inspector training program. I am the program coordinator and other AR members who are instructors in the rigorous class are David Helm and Charles Buell.
The upcomingBellingham class seems to be highly anticipated in Western Washington. We are getting lots of calls and interest in it. It looks like, and that is not so unusual, that we will be doing more of a regional class with students coming up from the Seattle area. BTC is the only fast-track state college accredited home inspection training course in the state. It is very intense -- 40 hours per week for four weeks. During that time students also go on five inspections. If anyone at AR knows of anyone interested in professional level home inspection training, please have them visit the BTC web-page. One goal of the program is to try to teach students acceptable performance and standards. While different people will always do jobs differently, it would be nice to have more predictability as to what inspectors look at and comment on.
Thanks for taking a look.

Steven - Sounds like pretty extensive training. You're really raising the bar for the industry.
