Well we had a great turnout last night at the NARI meeting. Girl Scouts were there selling cookies... did you know you can order cookies at the regular price for our soldiers overseas and they will be shipped FREE? The Boy Scouts were also represented by an Eagle Scout and Scout Master who did the opening ceremony. Good job.

Lots of great questions from the audience. One that didn't get asked until after the event that was hosted by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage was that Wells Fargo can wire the contractor's check to save additional time in getting you paid. In any case it appears that Wells Fargo is way out ahead of the competition in getting contractors paid once the draw request has been submitted for payment.

We talked about how contractors can be great lead generation machines for lenders and at the same time increase the size and scope of their jobs while opening their client's eyes to the 203k loan program. All in all it seemed like a good time was had by all. The food was good too.

There was another consultant at the event and he was given proper acknowledgement and respect. I am a believer in sharing and spreading the wealth by employing a spirit of cooperation among professionals.

The FHA 203(k) Rehab Loan: 203k program is a purchase or refinance rehabilitation loan. This loan program allows a borrower with limited funds to purchase, or refinance, and fix up a one-to four-unit property. Although it must be owner-occupied.
