We've been hearing a lot about the transforming Raleigh skyline in recent years - the Soleil Center, RBC Plaza, new convention center, the new Fayetteville Street...  add a new possibility: the Edison.

Raleigh downtown

According to the Raleigh News & Observer, Cary developer Gregg Sandreuter and Cherokee Investment Partners of Raleigh want to build a 38-story, eco-friendly mix of shops, hotel rooms and residences in Raleigh's reviving downtown."  The proposal calls for 2 towers, one of which would be 24 stories tall, making the building the tallest building in central Raleigh. The skyscraper would fit the rigorous standards to be considered "green."

"It's the next progression to Raleigh's urban renaissance," Sandreuter said. "It's an indication of how the Triangle is growing from a small community to a world-class region."

Cary is located adjacent to Raleigh and offers a more relaxed place to live for those who may love to work in downtown Raleigh but who want a quieter place to come home to in the evenings.
