Building Communities---Bridging Continents

President Elect Greg Mills came back from PETS(President-elect Training Seminars)that took place at the LAX Marriott last weekend, all fired up about Rotary. He revealed that incoming Rotary International President Ray Klinginsmith's (from Kirksville,  Missouri) new theme for the 2010-2011 year will be Building Communities---Bridging Continents.  Greg was totally impressed with the speakers and training he received over the  PETS weekend and he's hoping to get everyone fired up about our upcoming year.

This week's meeting opened with an invocation by Pete Moriarty, our Pledge of Allegiance and reading of the Rotary Four Way Test by Greg Mills.  Our song this week was "America the Beautiful"  led by Joe Brand.

Guests:

Brice Prather is also doing a great job enlisting players and acting as team liaison.  Everyone is getting excited about this event.

Greg Mills spoke about another potential fundraiser- a Villa Park City Clam or Crab Bake.

This event will be held right here in front of the Villa Park City Hall and would include an evening of fun, music and lots of good food.  Steve and Deb Hart along with their neighbors are eager to help and think this is a great idea.  Greg Mills hopes this can become a signature event for the club, not unlike the Yorba Linda Club's Lobsterfest.

Speaker:

Our speaker was Craig Beinlich who we learned grew up in Buena Park and moved to Villa  Park in 1997.  His business is C.R.
