(February 28, 2010) - Burlington, MA - The Pine Glen Elementary School PTO has coordinated with Burlington resident and local Realtor, Carol McDonald Macri of RE/MAX Encore, a very special opportunity... the ability to take a ride in "Big Max", the RE/MAX of New England Hot Air Balloon.

Sponsored by RE/MAX Encore, "Big Max," the seven-story-tall red, white and blue RE/MAX hot air balloon, will be kicking off the Pine Glen Carnival at the Pine Glen Elementary School on Saturday, March 27th at 9:00 a.m., wind and weather permitting. This invitation is open to the public.

"Most children don't ever have an opportunity to experience something like this.  It's great community fun! My family is part of the Pine Glen family and I'm thrilled to be able to bring the REMAX Balloon to town.  As a member of the Pine Glen PTO, I know how important it is to support our schools and ultimately our children.  "  said Carol.

The RE/MAX hot air balloon is the widely recognized corporate logo for RE/MAX real estate offices worldwide, owner of the largest corporate hot air balloon "fleet" in the world. The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon combined with the phrase "Above the Crowd," is a registered trademark of the RE/MAX real estate organization

Does this mean that everybody has a chance to actually ride the hot air bollon? How much does it cost for each person? Do we have to make reservation in advance?

To Curious,

The Balloon segment of the Carnival is wind and weather permitting.  Once the balloon is able to go up, it's then up to Mother Nature as to how long we'll be able to give tethered rides.  Safety is ALWAYS our number one concern first and foremost.  If the wind decides to pick up, then the balloon must come down.  This is a fundraiser for the Pine Glen Elementary PTO and the suggested donations are $5 for a child and $10 for an adult.  Rides will be given on a first come, first serve basis -- so be sure to show up early!  We're expecting a great crowd due to the response to our marketing efforts.  If you have further questions, feel free to contact me at 781-389-6184.

It's all up to Mother Nature!!!
