Sharon, excellent post and a great idea. I will definately be using this for future listings. Thanks!!
Excellent idea Sharon - thanks for sharing!
Hi Sam,
Yes, it is quick and easy. Colour selection not vast; however I am going to check out other HDs in Vancouver.
Best wishes,
S
Hi Debra,
How are you? My pleasure sharing as I get good ideas from AR as well.
These stick-ons are GREAT Sharon.
You have to be one of the most creative, resourceful Stagers I know.
B.C is lucky to have you.
Sharon ~ this looks great for a budget-conscious job -- thanks for letting us know about this option! :-)
Hey Liz,
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Didn't you just love how well our athletes did at the games. Quebec's athletes were awesome!!! Yeah Us!!!!!!
Absolutely Maureen. This was a budget-conscious job and it was fun to have these tiles look so great that those who knew what the previous tiles looked like thought I had re-done all the tub tiles.
Wow! What a huge transformation!
Congratulations. This post is being featured in the group Staging Before & After Pictures.
Kathy
P.S. I'll likely run into some home stagers at Home Depot (smile).
Thanks Kathy,
Amazing what a difference a small thing like these tiles did for the bath tub area.
lol - yes I have started something. I would be interested in knowing what colours the rest of you come across and how you use the tiles.
This has been a cool week! Thanks for making my first year anniversary even more special.
Sharon
That is soo cool. What a great tip. Thanks so much for sharing. Great job with the bathroom. It looks fantastic.
Hi Sharon,
Have similar issue. Can I grout over top of existing grout. Want to change this grout color but tile people told me the existing grout had to be scraped out. There is definitely a little trench that would fit more grout.
Thanks so much Chrissie. Quick & easy, what all stagers dream of, especially when the results look so good.
Ana,
In my situation, the tiles I used to cover up dated ones did not require any grout. They are applied on top of existing tile: no grout required.
Generally, the tile people are correct - existing grout would have to be removed. Have you tried googling "changing grout colour" to see what comes up?
My fear would be if you grout over what is there, it may not set properly and will leak out or some such thing. Not being a tiling expert I am guessing.
Another option is painting over tiles & grout. Maybe check that out.
Let me know what you discover.
Sharon
Oops I just read my blog again and I said add new grout, when I meant, add new caulking! Hope that didn't mislead anyone.
Sharon,
Congratulations on a great makeover! The rubber tiles give this bathroom an updated look without the big expense of a total remodel. BRAVO!
Hi Sharon, what an absolutely brilliant idea. Definitely using that one whenever I can. I have seen these stick on tiles and stood there pondering what I could do with them. The colours caught my eye and now that I see your application they will be tried out as soon as possible. Will let you know the results.
Thanks Michelle,
I am looking forward to using them on my next project coming up - both bathrooms need some help.
Michelle,
I am so glad I have shared a good thing with you. I am thinking about them for my upcoming project. Would love to see what you do with them.
Wow...what a transformation! Let's not forget to acknowledge the cleanliness of the bathroom "after"!!!! Will put this on my "must do" list.
Hey Laura,
Yes, this bathroom needed a good scrubbing down before painting, caulking & staging. Thanks for dropping by.
