I love this tool and have been meaning to share it for quite a while.

If you can type fast enough and need to get something across in another language, try this Translator.  It works incredibly well, and it's free.

Try this out:

Just plug the text below into the box, pick Chinese to English and see what happens.  Quite amazing. You can also just start typing and clicking any language to see the translation.

Hi Jane-

I have used freetranslations.com.  I was just about to use it to write a thank you note in Spanish.

I have never heard of any of these sites....I could certainly use it to help translate in ordering supplies!  This is quite a find for me, thank you Jane!

Jane - Nice find with this translator.  I don't speak multiple languages and would love to know if this one is pretty accurate when making the translaton from one language to another.

Jane, now this is one handy little tool of the trade!  Can it handle translating texting English to what we speak?

Sheldon,  anything I can do to help :)

Roy,  you are most welcome.  I will have to come see that post.

Sara,  I don't know if I've tried Free Translations, but this one is so good....

Donna, it actually seems to be. It works great with Spanish which is much needed here.

Mary, is that Portuguese?

Essie,  you are most welcome.  I was amazed at the Chinese.  I tested it by translating it back.  It is not 100% accurate coming back but pretty close.

Patricia, unfortunately not, but if I can find it, I have one that translates what you time into voice.

Barb, - I'll give my limited Armenian a shot without the tool, phonetically, of course:  Inch beses?  Tun hye es.  Horyiem.

Dorie,  I have had this for a while and love it.  Especially handy with all the Spanish we need here.

Fortunately most of my clients speak English. This makes my job a bit easier. I do remember those handy pocket translator books that allowed you to unknowingly insult people. I have actually used this tool to translate To English. It's a great tool

Mary,  I am.  Also impressed that I guessed it was Portuguese (patting myself on the back). :)

Jennifer,  this is the best one I have found.

Claude,  from American English to English English? :)

Thanks, Jane!  This is a cool tool to have--and one of these days, they'll have a hand-held translator that you can listen to the conversations of the rude clients who speak in a foreign language to one another as though you weren't in the room--that drives me NUTS!  To me, it's like whispering--just plain rude.  So, I'd love to have one of those hidden away so, I could comment, "Really, you think so?!" or something in response to their conversation--that would be hilarious!  (I've actually thought of doing that WITHOUT the translator--just ACT like I know what they're saying so they'll resume speaking English while I'm in the room!!  LOL)

Have a great evening...
