OK here's the Big News....You Ready?

This week our firm and another firm are becoming  one. 

This is big news considering we have both been independent for a total of 68 years!

Not only does this increase the size and viability of two independent companies, but it is a joining together of two friendly rivals under one name who share similar philosophies about business and community.

You see ......over the past year both our companies have been approached by several other companies in an effort to have one of us merge with them.  We began talking  almost twelve months ago and as soon as the word got out others began talking to us also. I suppose they just didn't want this marriage to happen. But it is.

Early this week the area will be covered up in our new sign which we feel is a real eye catcher.  In this entire process the most difficult task for myself was deciding on a logo, a sign, and colors, Well that took 3 months in itself. I tried to forget my ego (it is hard letting go of the old name after 3 decades)  and help come up with a sign that makes folks look . Pretty wasn't primary.  Getting  Attention was.  So here you go.

 Our new name reflects our old names and the marriage . It is Brazosland  Classic Realty ..... the dba to simplify branding is simply  " BCR. "            

So watch out out there world ....we fully expect to keep growing. I am personally am excited about this event ,We are going to offer one of the best opportunities around for local Realtors.  For years we have excelled in agent training and enhancement and I am confident  that  by  continuing and expanding on this tradition, that  the public will be insured of sincere,honest,  and dependable service from some of the most prepared and knowledgeable agents in this area.

Both Brazosland and Classic Realty  also have strong  histories in property management and currently manage a large portfolio of residential and commercial  locations.  In addition we offer management services for local home owner associations.   By combining our services, BCR will also be one of the largest and most experienced management firms in the Brazos Valley . Let me rephrase that....we will be the largest.

Brazosland Realty began operations in 1974 and Classic Realty opened its doors in 1978.   Both firms have decades of experience in all types of real estate including residential,  commercial , farm and ranch , property development, and  property management services.  The owners of the two firms have been actively involved in the community for many years.  The two companies have produced community  leaders,  numerous Realtor association presidents, and several Realtor of the year recipients.  Classic Realty was a recent nominee for Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics in the business place ,  and Brazosland  Realty  received the  same Award in  2008 .   Brent Riethmayer, one of our  broker-owners  will serve as the Residential Property Sales Manger and Mary Derkowski, Realtor , will serve as the Property Management Director.   Brent and Mary bring  40 years combined experience to the business. I will be an owner and an officer.
