Even in the coolest of months of December and January, the average highs are 67 degrees, an extremely adequate temperature for a day of horse riding or golfing. The nearby Willow Glen Equestrian Centre has 17 acres of facilities and be sure to visit them to see or take part in one of their many riding shows. The San Diego area has some of the most impressive golf courses in the United States. The Rancho San Diego Golf Course, the Singing Hills Golf Course or the world-renowned Torrey Pine Golf Course are to name but a few. Choose one of the fine homes in Alpine and you will find yourself in a lovely foothill village adjacent the Cleveland National Forest and less than a half hour drive from Cuyamaca State Park, the Laguna Mountains where there are miles and miles of trails for you to ride on with your horse. And for a change perhaps take a trip to the Pacific Ocean!
