I try not to hate anything... but the IRS, well, it's a very strong dislike. Not for any individual that works there, but the concept in general. Doing taxes makes me physically ill. I usually start off the year doing my first quarterly stuff the first day I get the form and promise myself I will continue. But by the time it's January of the following year and I'm going all that year end stuff... the Annual 1099s and w2s and GA Annual Tax Report and the Federal Unempoyment tax forms for my company I do it... everytime... I put it off until the last day it can be postmarked.
THAT WAS TODAY!
I spent much of the day sweating over dotting i's and crossing t's. I missed getting it all in the mailbox prior to my rural route mail carrier driving by so when I finally finished I had to drive to the post office and drop them all of to get today's postmark on them. But I felt that sense of relief when the stack left my hand. That "DAY" is usually February 28th or 29th, but since it was a Sunday taxes actually spilled over into March for me this year.
Now of course I can move on, back to the business of being a broker and not a bookkeeper (by the way, did you know that's the only word in the English language with three double letters in a row?). Over the last week I got 3 new listings and my company got an additional 7. I market all of our listings so I have been swamped getting all of them properly advertised.
And being a good wife, I really have GOT to spend part of tomorrow on My Donald. It's his birthday and I've got to get the cake baked and do some last minute shopping. Do you have the problem of your spouse buying themselves everything they need and want you not knowing WHAT to get them? Donald brought home his "happy birthday to me" present on Friday. It was another gun. I have no idea what kind. But I do know that when it warms up a bit I'm going to get him to take me to the range with him to learn how to load and fire it. I'm not going to have a gun in my house that I don't know how to use.
So, friends, any ideas on what to get the man who has everything he needs and wants for his birthday?
