Looking for something great to do in Austin, TX? Today I will start adding this woman's perspective of the best of Austin. Of course, I start with my favorite obsession...FOOD!
#1 Eat Tortilla Soup at Baby Acapulco
Ok, I can guess what you are thinking now. Eat soup? That doesn't sound that exciting. Well, get this, when I first moved to Austin I was in a soup club dedicated to eating this soup almost weekly. It's an experience worth having.
The Baby A's soup is a HUGE serving. The steamy, hot, spicy mix of chicken, cheese, cilantro, purple onions, and tortillas makes my mouth so happy, ESPECIALLY when you pull out that mix and place it in a corn tortilla (soup will allot about 3 tacos out of the soup).
Price is $7.95. You will leave full and maybe a little inebriated if you have more than one purple margarita (my friends call them "purple nurples" and just about everyone has a wild story to share after leaving Baby A's. You've been warned!). Austinites, please feel free to comment and share your stories or your favorite eats and treats!
