Sunday was an All-American day when the Lunada Bay community in Palos Verdes Estates celebrated the opening day of their Lunada Bay Little League. The day began with a parade of all of the team members and their managers and family from Palos Verdes High to the Little League fields on Palos Verdes Drive West just north of Lunada Bay Plaza.
The League was celebrating the completion of its Plaza Improvements which included completely new concrete plaza area, new picnic benches with umbrellas, refurbished stands, new mature shade trees, new trash enclosures, new grill service bar area, new asphalt parking lot and a brand new major league scoreboard donated by Lexus. The league was successful in raising over $160,000 for these improvements from league parents and local businesses.
The day was a great display of community pride and shows how wonderful a community this is.
