Buyers: Please let's be realistic

I always like to explain clients we have a wish list and we don't always get all th items on our wish list. That's why it is called a wish list. If we get 4 out of the 5 we are doing great. If we get the offer accepted , your buyers should be grateful. If not than there are unrealistic expectations. Especially in the So Cal market.

The market doesn't really matter about buyers being unrealistic.

I try and explain also that perfect is not out there yet. We find as close as we can and then they make it their perfect home but it seems with as many listings as there are buyers are expecting the perfect house because there are so many to choose from. Thanks for the post Lydia

There still seem to be alot of buyers who want more than they cn afford or think they should be able to afford more than they truly can. It's a learning process for every new client I get.

We have to treat the buyers like gold as they are the bread and butter of the market right now.

Buyer's wish lists have gotten longer, because they feel they are totally in control of the sale.  The biggest shock in this market is when they learn the mortgage lenders really don't care about their wish list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
