This Friday will be the First Friday After Hours Event for March 5, 2010. This event is held all year round in the downtown Historic Lewisburg. Every first Friday of the Month the event is planned and draws lot of local support.
The local merchants are looking to put their best effort to their clients coming to visit their shops. Some will be offering refreshments for their guest. Some offer specials for the nights event period in their shops. If you are like me the resturants and great dining are a part of the evening to enjoy. If you have not tried some of the local eating establishments this is the perfect time to enjoy their great food. If you looking for good sit-down meal with great atmosphere, try Food & Friends. They have an amazing menu to choose from, something for everyone. I would suggest reservations for the evening, they will not last long so call early! The General Lewis Inn is also a great place to enjoy some great food and dishes. I would suggest reservation for them also. If you looking to more casual dining, you might try the Wild Bean or the Irish Tavern to name a few.
There will be live music, it usally concentrates around the park in the center of town. And with all the local merchants have extened hours for the event. The evening starts at 5:00 pm and ends at 9:00 pm, good food and fun for the entire family. I understand one of the local merchants will offer beauty make-overs for the clients coming into their Boutique.
With all this bad weather we have been experiencing lately it will be good to get out for the event. They are not calling for any bad weather for the weekend so get out and enjoy!
