We just completed a staging job today at the Portland Place Condominiums that was a lot of fun to do.  It's Victorian that was split into condominiums (each averaging 950 sq. feet).   I rarely get the opportunity to stage older homes, in this case, a restored Victorian in the Mapleton Hill area.  It's a great location, right off Broadway and Portland, across the street from Ideal Market and Vic's.  I really love the architectural features, exposed brick, and original floors.  Combine that with modern wiring, state-of-the-art kitchens, and gorgeous baths; and you've got a winner!  Here's the result:

Great staging on this old home. I love the iron bed it is perfect for the room. I like old homes too. I see so much new contruction and the craftmanship is just not there any more. I go to down town boise to get my fix of the older homes

Beautiful condo.  I love the leaded glass window in the bedroom, the exposed brick and wood floors.  Great job!

Fab job Jessica!  I want that house!  I once had a bathroom with the claw foot tub.  Taking a shower in that thing was like wrapping myself in saran wrap.  The shower curtain kept blowing toward me and sticking to me.  I'll never do that again.

that's  very cool. although i have troubles convincing sellers to stage their victorians more contemporary style, instead of traditional victorian (those furniture are hard to find!). it just shows much better.

cheers,

cicndy

Jessica, Beautiful use of transitional furniture to highlight the architectural features of the home. This will surely appeal to the greatest amount of potential buyers. Very nicely done.

Thanks for sharing, and I love your pictures. Those are great floors in the kitchen. Isn't this why we got into the business? I love this stuff.

Hi Jessica!

First of all, you did an amazing job!  Did you bring in the furniture or was it there?

I love the floors, french doors, kitchen...the only room that I was disappointed in (and it has nothing to do with your staging!) was the bathroom....I would have preferred to see it updated to one of the new 'spa' baths(I'm not a huge fan of the footed bathtub)!

Thanks for the comments everyone!  I've been slammed with some big (and exciting) projects which I'll tell you all about when I have more time!  I don't have any before pics of this one, I often forget to whip out the camera first these days.  Often I end up taking the "before" photos when I de-stage, but even then I forget sometimes oops!

Thanks Chrissy!  I don't know that I'd exactly call it fantastic, but it's certainly been good for business!  I feel like I hardly have time to even eat these days (although still seem to be able to GAIN weight for some odd reason!).

Mary and I are working on our first Model home project!!! It's a 2 million + home that is going to be included in the Flatirons Tour of Homes!! The dates are the 15 & 16th and the 22nd & 23rd of Sept. You should come see 'our house' if you have time!

Jessica, wonderful. Warm and inviting. Noting the date...and I am certain they may be sold! Great job.

Question.......liked the simplistic sheer swag. Can you tell me how you attached them? Love the idea for a snappy treatment!  TY!

Thanks guys!

Gina ~ We bunch them up with a rubber band and fee a small nail through the fabric (or a the rubber band) and nail it into the window frame.  In this case there were already substantial holes in the window frame so we had to find bigger nails and simply slid the nail into the hole.

Cindy ~ Send em' my way!

Jessica,

Excellent work - you need to make sure you are listed in our directory (it's free). We have many agents and brokers working with us up in the IRES market area and should be able to drive you quite a bit of business and attention - you do great work from the looks of it. (again, it's free - so take advantage of it)

let me know if you have any questions / need any help:
