February 2010 sale statistics for South Lake Tahoe, California.

Sale statistics for the month of February is showing us that the total unit sold is down 47% from the end of 2009.  The median sale price for February is down 8.4% from the end of 2009.  We ended 2009 with a bang and it looked like things were looking promising for 2010, but these sale statistics are not saying so.

I went back to look at the sale statistics for the past decade, and it looks like we're going back to 2003 prices.  This should be great news to buyers, but not so great for sellers if they bought houses in the height of 2006.  Sale statistics for February median prices went down 35% from February 2006.  This is in line with all the distressed sales we're seeing. 

Again, this is great news to buyers to jump on this opportunity.  If you've ever dreamt of owning a piece of Tahoe, now is your time!  Sale statistics shows us prices haven't been this good since the past 7 years.
