A lot of debate has gone on concerning home staging. I can see the advantages and the disadvantages, but let me tell you about my experience of staging homes in the current market.
Not all homes need a complete over haul. Some homes just need some rearranging of furniture and some homes that are empty need to be filled. Recently I used a professional home stager, in the Palm Springs California area, to full a house. The cost was $6500 and guess what the results were? The home sold at 99% of the asking price in (8) days! I also had back-up offers as well. The home had no offers with the previous listing agent who did not Stage the home. Now that is money well spent!

Some sellers may not want to spend the money on home staging but if you show them the statistics and the results they may be more interested.
