I love a good ghost story. Here's one from our haunted Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs!

Ghost story Crescent Hotel

This story was in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette today, Mar 2 2010.  I always love a good ghost story and this one comes close to topping most of the ones I've heard.  I've been into the lobby of the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs Arkansas but haven't had the courage to spend the night.

Plan to vacation in our beautiful state of Arkansas!

Thanks for this interesting story.  I probably wouldn't stay there!

Thank you for sharing your haunting story. I didn't think much of ghosts until I met Jeff.  He is a member of a ghost hunting group. It is amazing the stories he has told as they photograph and record ghosts as they ask questions and get responses on tape. It made me a believer when he let me listed to a recording he had, where the ghost somehow played mucic back to him and a voice singing along with the music.  This was obtained in the basement of an old oprahouse. It was one of those you had to be there moments!

I can't discount the story, and I've read many other "encounters" folks have had at the Crescent.  What I can't believe is that, after that first encounter, or incident, the person could just blissfully go back to sleep....not once, but twice.

I've eaten in the dining room at the Cresent.  It is a very interesting hotel with lots of history.

Nancy, I'd sorta like to see a spirit.

Larry, the ghost hunters are fascinating.  They did a study in a church in Searcy but they won't tell which church it was.  I really would like to encounter a spirit sometime.

Anita, do you think the Crescent is really haunted or is it just their advertisement so that we feel interested and go?  I also wonder how she could have just gone back to sleep and take pictures.  I'd like to see the pictures.

Godmother,

The boss and I watched the exorcist and it was horrendously frightening.

Nutsy

Alan Elvis.  Sorry about the chills.  That's the way I felt when I saw Elvis Presley.

Nutsy, I don't have the courage to watch that show.

Steven, this one was good!

Barbara,

I have been to the Crescent and have my own thoughts about it.  We actually got a picture of a ghost.  I have blogged about it here.  Check it out sometime!

Kathy, I hurried over to your blog which was lovely!  You're going to have to show me the face closeup, I guess.  All I could see was what looked like a person silhouetted in a door either coming or going.  I want to believe!!  I want to have those shivers too.  So show us on this blog.

Barbara - That's a neat ghost story!  I've had a few "other-worldly" experiences in my life too!  By using the camera, she was taking back some of her power!
