This morning I am getting off to a slow start. I was out fairly late last evening, talking through some options for a young couple who wants to move and is $49,000 upside down in their home (luckily they do have options).
There are important things I wanted to do before I leave for showings: I wanted to work out, update a market analysis, set up showings for tomorrow, and figure out some more numbers for the couple who is "under water" on their mortgage.
So here I am, already running late before I even start, and my cat Max decides that now -- right now-- is an ideal opportunity to spend quality time with me.
He doesn't always want attention, but when he does, it's now. Max will walk across my keyboard, head-butt my hand as I click the mouse, or lay on my desk and lick my arm until I stop everything and give him my full attention!
My work will still be here in five minutes, after I cuddle Mr. Max.
And I can think of worse ways to start your day than with a cat on your lap.
