My daughter went to the library this week for the pirate band show. Not only did she have a blast but she can't stop talking about the upcoming Portland Pirate Festival. So, if your kids love pirates it will be at Portland Oregon's Cathedral Park on Saturday, September 22nd, and Sunday, 23rd, 2007.

- Navy historic re-enactors; Dragon Theatre Puppets; Mud Bay Jugglers and many more.
- Learn about maritime and pirate history as you stroll through the make-shift village.
- The Pirate's Parrot Show
- Scupper Monkey Island, a giant inflatable play area, plus the Clowns Unlimited 24-foot climbing wall.
- Discover unique treasures in the Marauder's Market
- Indulge in the amazing "Grub and Grog" provided by, among others, Salvador Molly's and Rogue Brewery
