I suppose it will not surprise many of you but the foreclosure petitions filed last year (2009) outnumbered those in 2008 in many of the communities in MetroWest, according to the Warren Group which tracks real estate data across New England. In all of Norfolk County, foreclosure petitions jumped by 33.5% from '08 to '09. In Middlesex County, the jump was 23% during the same period. Below is the change in the number of foreclosures in our area.
