The Two Newest Stars Of New Hampshire Theater!
These two guys had the chance to perform in A Christmas Carol this year and WOW what an experience. The whole family ended up getting involved and everyone had a great time. Emmet was the narrator and was on stage from the first scene to the final bows. He set up the scenes with readings from the original text, pretending to be a modern boy reading Dickens in bed on a cold winter's night. Everyone commented on how such a young boy could handle such an important part.
Peter played Old Man Fezziewig, Scrooge's first boss. He danced a jig, toasted the assembled party with boisterous speeches and was the life of the party! In the next act he donned a somber costume and played Peter Cratchit, the eldest son of Bob Cratchit. Peter made both characters believable. He was really great!
Mom and Dad pitched in as needed, Valerie helped with props & staging, ran the smoke machine, gave cues, and was the official stage right house mother, keeping the kids in-line and on their marks. Paul sold & designed advertising for the playbill and then was all around "helper" on show nights, vacuuming the theater, taking tickets, handing out playbills and selling cupcakes! The truth is we wouldn't have missed a performance for anything.
