Weeki Wachee Swamp Fest 2010 - 17th Annual Festival
The Weeki Wachee Swamp Fest 2010 is under way this weekend, March 6-7, 2010 at Linda Pedersen Park off Shoal Line Blvd between Hernando Beach and Weeki Wachee, Florida.

The event draws thousands of visitors each year from near and far to enjoy a variety of entertainment, shop the numerous craft vendors, sample local food fare, and even get a glimpse of Florida nature along the banks of Jenkins Creek.
There is an annual competition of the Swamp Monster, musical entertainment, games, and numerous local organizations with information about anything from the local volunteer fire department, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Florida Bear Habitat, Mosquito control, Florida Native Landscaping, Hernando Computer Club, and many others.
The weather is great this weekend, so there's nothing to stop you from getting out there. The event is organized and serves as a fundraiser for three local organizations, the Weeki Wachee Area Club, Weeki Wachee Crime Watch and Hernando Environmental Land Protectors.
