Irina, Thank you! I hope it helps!
Hi Don, Nice Post.
I read a book by Dale Carnegie years ago called - "How to stop worrying and start living". it talks about living in day tight compartments and not to worry about anything in the moment if there's nothing you can change about that moment - a good read.
Thanks for posting.
Roy
Worry is a habit, and it is also a very tough taskmaster. People need to break free of worry - listen to their concerns, but not get all twisted up in knots over "what might be." I remember when I was pregnant, I let worry consume me..part of it was my hormones gone wild, but another part was just feeding the worry machine. My husband came home to find me in tears one day - all because I had imagined he had gotten injured at work and died. Crazy!!!
Worry- the only thing it produces is stress. Has the process of worrying ever changed the outcome of a situation? We know the answer is a resounding 'no'. As mentioned 'action' or doing something- anything- stands at least a chance of making a positive change in a situation. Stress will find many ways to curtail or even eliminate needed action. Look worry as a self-imposed defeat process.
Roy, Yes! I took the Dale Carnegie training course & remember "day tight" compartments. It's great! Thanks!
Karen, it can just become an overwhelming evil. There is Joy in the Lord!
John, Worry can certainly be a self-defeat process. Well put! Thanks for reading!
Don for those of us who put our trust in the Lord worry is a lack of faith and trust that God will take care of us. Sometimes the trials and worry of life will draw us closer to Him.
Peace to you.
Nick, awesome thought! Thanks bro!
I don't really worry at all. But I DO plan. It's different.
Great quotes - I love the idea that worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy! Thank you so much.
Chris, I am Pat and I am a worrier. I am the daughter of a worrier. I was raised to believe that if you worried about something, it would be OK. Love your blog!
My grandfather used to say that "Worrying is like rocking in a rocking chair. You spend so much time and effort, but it never gets you anywhere."
Leslie, you sound like you are in charge! That is so awesome! Planning DOES seem to take the worry out of life too! Thanks!
Lise, It's so true. I thought of another scripture today: Matthew 6:27 "Can you add even one hour to your life by worrying?
Pat, thanks so much for the feature. I hope this helps many go through the weeks ahead without worrying!
Mark, your grandfather was right!
Don, What me worry? Great advice. Agents get so much stress and anxiety piled on us from clients. We have to learn to manage our emotions and don't need the extra "worry factor". Congrats on the featured posts. You do not look like a worrier to me. :-)
Marcia, thank you! I can worry with the best of them! But, why? I need to practice the habit of NO WORRIES!
Nice post, brother... I am featuring it......
I will be back blogging soon....
Too much has been going on........
Al, thank you! I appreciate you man! God bless!
My grandfather always used to tell us this:
"Always make sure you put forth your best effort doing what you feel is the right thing...good things will come as long as you keep doing both parts diligently. Then you won't have to worry about things you can't control."
Kent, that's awesome! It makes me think of the quote, "Always tell the truth and you won't have to remember much!"
Hi Don,
Thanks for your scriptures and your post. Up until recently, when I decided I had to make some changes in my life, I worried about everything. I came to realize that worrying was a lack of trust and faith in God.
Celeste, that is so true... and yet we think nothing of it sometimes. Thanks for reading & God bless you!
