Howard Prairie Lake in Southern Oregon just outside Ashland Oregon is such a beautiful spot. We love to go fishing at this lake and it is only about 45-50 minutes away from Medford Oregon. The only bad thing about it being so close to town is that many other folks know about it and do not take care of it. There is now no overnight camping on the back side of Howard Prairie Lake due to idiots trashing everything, chopping down trees, breaking glass beer bottles, tearing up the road, and much more. I have been going up there for years and now no longer can but I have great memories up there. I could still go up there but I don't like camp sites I go camp to get away from all the people and enjoy the beauty.
This is a great little lake to catch fish I catch many trout and a lot of those pesky little perch.
