Here are some fun trivia facts about Austin that only a native will know. If you score 100% then yall must be from around here! For those non natives yall means "you all "in Texan.

1. What is the longest suspension bridge in Texas?

2. Name the famous native Texan than stands overlooking Auditorium Shores? (Hint-there was a memorial event here in their name and they played at Auditorium Shores many times)

3. What hill has concrete and stone stairs to the top and is well known for its dramatic hill country view?

4. Name the famous artist whose garden is a south Austin attraction and wedding venue?

5. What is the new name of Pecan Street in Austin Texas?

6. Name the famous owner of Poodie's Hilltop Cafe?

7. What Austin festival is named after a Hormel potted meat?

8. Name the Austin hotel that is reportedly haunted?  Bonus points for the local bar that is also reported to be haunted.

9. What was the first Austin building to have air conditioning?

10. What/who lives in the cracks of the Congress Ave./Ann Richards Bridge?

Bonus Round: What is the name of the UT mascot, and how did it get its name??

Here are the long awaited answers.

1. The Pennybacker Bridge also known as the 360 Bridge or Capital of Texas Bridge.

2. Stevie Ray Vaughn statue on the south shore of Auditorium Shores.

3. Mount Bonnell- one of Austin's best spots for taking in a Texas sunset.

4. Charles Umlauf Sculpture Garden in the heart of 78704.

5. Sixth Street or 6th Street, party central for the college crowd.

6. The Red-headed Stranger also known as Willie Nelson the music icon of Texas.

7. Spamarama. Where you can partake in Spam: eating contests, cooking contests and of course the ever famous Spam-Toss!

8. The Driskell Hotel. Bonus questions answer is The Tavern on N. Lamar.

9. The Tavern was the first public building to provide conditioned air for its patrons. So you could cool off on the outside with AC and on the inside with ice cold beer.

10. The Mexican Free Tailed bat. The largest colony in Northern America resides in/under the Congress Ave. bridge.

BONUS ROUND ANSWERS:

1. BEVO- Many years ago Oklahoma stole the UT mascot and branded the score of the first game they beat UT. The score was 13-40, which in Roman numerals creates I3VO which turned into BEVO.
