I just came from Mary Yonkers' blog.

Mary is up in Erie, Pennsylvania, which still has some of that white stuff on the ground.

Mary was looking for signs of spring, which to her, is the equivalent of flowers.

With all the snow on the ground there in Erie, flowers were not to be found, so she got creative and made her own Spring using her arts and crafts.

You need to pop by Mary's blog and see them. Really cool.

If you don't have time to wait for Spring to arrive, make it arrive. If you don't have time to sit back and wait for your phones to ring, make them ring. If you don't have time to wait for that email to arrive, make it arrive.

Luck comes to those who work hard to make it happen.

These last two sentences were the best part....

If you don't have time to sit back and wait for your phones to ring, make them ring. If you don't have time to wait for that email to arrive, make it arrive.

Luck comes to those who work hard to make it happen.

Soooo True!

Thanks Russel!

Luck comes from the old english expression "Good Lucifer". It is equated to pure chance (Bon Chance in french). Results are usually not luck, but products of intelligence, experience, and action.

Russell this is a great transition from flowers to getting and keeping our collective butts in gear. Good advice.

I love the way you built such a positive and inspiring message from Mary's post about Spring.  She has inspired me to find some Spring for my home and you have reminded me that luck is my own responsibility.

Good morning Russel,

Thanks for the plug.  I love the way you segwayed to working hard.  As so many comments here say we have the power to make it happen.  I love Sally & David's garden.  It blooms all year 'round, right?

Enjoy San Diego's sunshine.

Hey, Folks.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I have read all the comments, but since this post is rather old, rather than making comments here in my post to each and every one of you, I'll just let everyone know that I have read all the comments and if there are any questions, I'll answer those below. Otherwise I'll simply post this comment and then head over to your blogs soon to visit and do some reading and commenting. I hope you'll have a nice welcome mat out for me!

Don't forget to let your cat come out to play with all the other ActiveRain kitties. Your cat-friendly dogs can come, too!

If you need a great cat book, get yourself a copy of Peg Silloway's The Cat Lover's Book of Days.

Hope all is well with everyone.
