USE YOUR VOICE MAIL TO DRIVE MORE TRAFFIC TO YOUR WEBSITE - FREE!

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX CAPITAL VA #0225210305

Give your callers a little bit more! Try this effective and FREE technique for driving people to your website.

Standard expected voice mail greeting:

"Hi, this is Tia Stanley at Weichert Realtors Eastern Shore. I'm sorry I missed your call,

but if you will leave your name,  number & a brief message I would be happy to call you back."

TRY THIS INSTEAD:

"Hi, this is Tia Stanley from Weichert Realtors Eastern Shore. Please leave me a

short message with your number and I'll call back as soon as possible. In the

meantime, please visit my Web site, at www.tiastanley.com.

Of course you can alter the wording to include mention of  your BLOG, free newsletter, free offers, etc. It is just one more opportunity to drive traffic that costs ZERO. I have had several positive feedback comments so far. In my greeting message, I actually leave out the www in my web address as it is unnecessary and shortens my greeting. I speak quickly, but clearly. Of course, I did this several times before I got it just right, but I think it was worth the effort. Of course, from time-to-time, I plan to change it up , but always mentioning the website. Hope you find this to be a productive tool.

Great idea! We should always look for new ways to market ourselves and our voicemail is a great way to do that. Shows the clients what we have to offer.

It's also a good idea to ask people to leave their number and e-mail address for a quicker response.  That way you have all their contact information and can add them to your newsletters and informative e-mails.

Brian: Although it does indicate to leave their number, I had not thought about asking for their email. Thanks!

I have the same thing on my voicemail and also add text message to my voicemail saying "you can also text me at this number" and I have on 3 occassions had a folks text message me with something like "I want to see the house at 333 ABC Street when can you show me?"

Often times one of the things we fail to do effectively is market out websites. This is an excellent idea to drive traffic to it and put it to effective use! In my day-to-day conversations with clients I always refer them to my site if they have internet access. As I'm walking them through loan scenarios/quotes, I take them to the loan calculator on my website. And if they're urging to learn more, I direct them to the several articles on my site and remind them to sign up for my monthly newsletter.
