A Bench in the Woods, a Place to Think
Ever feel like you need to sit down, shut off, tune out and just be? No Blackberries unless they are edible. No emails, texts, Facebook, Twitter, just the sounds of the birds, maybe the crackle of a fire. It's really not hard to do. Just leave it all at home, find a bench in the woods and listen. You might hear a voice you've been missing that's been there all the while.

I run with no music / no headphones so I can tune into the sounds of nature and think.

Yesterday was a calm and peaceful day as I drove north with my son and husband, through beautiful scenery, to meet up with some family for lunch. Sun was shining, it was a glorious day!

Thanks for all the comments. This picture was taken at a listing we had a while back. Elsie set up the fire pit and the bench is actually a swing. Taking time away is important, the world will not stop if we aren't watching.

I do it every day, except that I always have my handy dandy Canon Rebel XSi camera with me just in case!
