Liberation Day Friday, July 27 - Come celebrate the anniversary of the liberation of Bordentown from the British Troops in July of 1778 with a wine and cheese party. Soccer camp Monday, July 30, through Friday, Aug. 3 - The Florence Township Soccer Association will host the New York Red Bulls Soccer Camp for children ages 5 to 17. The camp will start at 9 a.m. at Veterans Field, on Broad Street near the municipal building.

Hoagie sale Friday, Aug. 3, and Saturday, Aug. 4 - The Florence Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 will hold a hoagie sale at the new firehouse, located at 401 Firehouse Lane from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until supplies sell out Saturday.
Italian, American and tuna hoagies will be available. The cost is $5 and includes a soda and chips. Advanced orders are welcome and can be placed by calling (609) 499-6003 or faxing (609) 499-6004. Local delivery is available.
Casino trip Sunday, Aug. 5 - The Knights of Columbus No. 570 are sponsoring a trip to the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. The bus will depart from the St. Mary's Church parking lot on Elizabeth Street in Bordentown at 4:30 p.m. for a four-hour stay at the casino. The cost is $20, and each attendee will receive $20 in cash.

Vacation Bible school Monday, Aug. 6, to Friday, Aug. 10 - The First Baptist Church of Bordentown will hold vacation Bible school from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. for children ages 4 through those who have completed sixth-grade. This free program titled The Quest for Adventure, will include bible stories, crafts, singing, recreation, snacks and a special closing program on Friday, Aug. 10.

Day camp Tuesday, Sep. 4, to Friday, Sep. 7 - The Fernbrook Farms Education Center's summer day camp program is being extended for Bordentown residents. From 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. children ages 6 to 11 can choose activities they want to participate in such as exploring ponds, collecting vegetables, and making musical instruments.

Charter tuna fishing trip Thursday, Sep. 20, to Friday, Sep. 21 - A 30-hour fishing trip is planned for members of the Cookstown and Bordentown areas. The trip will take place from 9 a.m. Thursday, Sep. 20, to 3 p.m. Friday, Sep. 21. Be at the dock one hour prior to departure.
The 85-foot long boat sails from Fishermen's Supply Co., 69 Channel Drive, Point Pleasant Beach. The trip costs $395 per person. The price includes rods, reels, all terminal tackle, bait and gratuity. All fish will also be cleaned and bagged. The fish will be divided evenly so that everyone goes home with some fish.

Festival Saturday, Sep. 29 - The 19th Annual Crosswicks Village Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Main Street in Crosswicks. The festival will include craft vendors, an antique car display, children's games, book and bake sales, a Lego building contest, a chili tasting contest, a vintage 1873 baseball game, a Civil War encampment and old country dancing.
There will also be house tours for $10 and a spaghetti dinner at the firehouse from 3 to 7 p.m. for $8.
