The Palm Springs Wild WestFest is in town to entertain March 12-14 with a wide array of activities to enjoy. Everything from a carnival to the music festival to the big rodeo can be found in downtown Palm SpringPalm Springs West Fests. The event itself is a free family-friendly weekend that is full of entertainment to partake in. The highlight of the weekend is the rodeo, which is dedicated to late cowboy mayor Frank M. Bogert. The rodeo can be seen on Friday at 6 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm. Because of the high crowds expected, make sure to get your tickets and seats in advance as the gates will open 1 ½ hours prior to the rodeo.

Although the weekend itself is free of charge, you will have to purchase a ticket to get into the rodeo. If purchased prior to the event, tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for youths 12 and under. If you opt to wait to purchase tickets at the gate, expect to pay a little more with adult tickets running $25 and youth tickets set at $15.While the rodeo is the highlight of the weekend, there are many other activities to participate in. Music is a must at such an event and there will be continuous performances by local, regional and nationally known acts on stage. There are a number of different styles of music to listen to including country, cpalm springs rodeoowboy, native Indian, mariachi and Latin rock. All music is free to listen to and CD's are available for purchase.

Following the rodeo Friday, March 12 is the Cowboy Ball and Dance Hall next door to the rodeo at Margarita's Restaurant. This annual event will feature Nashville veteran Jann Browne and her show band. It will be a grand time with music, dancing and a full bar with the finest beers and tequilas. If you do have kids, Mutton Bustin' is open to all children 6 years and under weighing less than 60 pounds. This is a similar event to bull riding for children as contestants must attempt to last 6 seconds on a sheep. This has been a highly competitive event and draws in a large crowd year after year.Palm Springs Real Estate

Each go-round winner will be invited to the championship round, which will be held on the final day. There will also be a full carnival filled with different family-friendly rides including a Ferris wheel and chain swing. The carnival will include food, games, rides, and music for the entire family to enjoy. And if you are looking for some new attire or cowboy goodies, there are countless vendors that will be available all weekend long at the Palm Springs Wild WestFest. There are several retail stores and some great food vendors to get some grub throughout the weekend.

There is no question the place to be on March 12-14 is at the Palm Springs Wild WestFest. From a shooting competition to the carnival to an after rodeo dance event, it is a family-fun weekend you do not want to miss. Remember to get your tickets early for the rodeo as they will go fast.
