Hello Everyone,

Help someone out You know in my life I have had the opportunity many times to make little or now money by helping someone and I have taken it. This is not to pat the old back, but it is important in today's world to not be so selfish. Helping people is one of the things I love to do and this is a great business for that kind of person.

Some people wouldn't give people the time of day because they don't think they will make any money. I help people who need rentals even though I don't make a penny for my time. Sometimes we need to just help people out because we can, not because we want to. I have been in need of help before and every open hand is appreciated.

Keep your eyes open for opportunities to help others. You never know when you may be the one who needs something. If you need some ideas, visit our volunteer page to see places that need help.

i agree. it isn't always about making money. selfless acts are the most rewarding in the end.

I hope you'll remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC" and I will do the same!

Cudos to you my friend...I find myself helping more and more people. sometimes it is just helping an elderly person in or out of a car.

Ross: Since this is a people business, helping people is a great place to start. That's where the referrals come from...not necessarily big paychecks.

The more you give, the more you will get. It doesn't matter who you give to, but the key is to give without expecting anything in return. If you do this at some points you will be repaid 10x over.

Not only that Ross, but there are also people out there that will try to take advantage, chase the dollar and exploit certain situations as much as they can. Unfortunately I have seen it many times in my profession.

Great post. One that I wish everyone in and out of the Activerain community would read.

Be honest and treat people as you would want to be treated. Words to live by.

I wish you made this post so that others could re-blog it. It is an excellent post. You are a true philanthropist, Ross, you are a good man. If there were more Realtors like you in our industry, it would be a better industry. You do things behind the scene for others, because that's the way you are.

So true! I know there are some who would NEVER do anything if there wasn't something in it for them, but I find that sometimes the best rewards are the kind you can't take to the bank!
