Kernersville, the Heart of the Triad
Kernersville, NC is often referred to as the “heart” of the Triad. This association comes largely from its geographic location conveniently located in the middle of Greensboro, High Point, and Winston Salem. While being in a great location is keen, I like to think that “the heart” is directly related to the good natured, giving people that reside in Kernersville.
The people are givers. This is evident by some of the local organizations like The Shepherd’s Center. Their mission is to be “an interfaith ministries of volunteers who champion and sustain older or disabled adults.” They have great outreach programs and really do some great things for the elders of the community.
I am a proponent of the Forsyth Spay and Neuter Clinic housed in Kernersville. They are a non-profit that offers these services at very low costs. This helps keep pet populations down, and reduce the “found on side of the road” stories at bay.
